We've all done
it....been on vacation, got home and wished we had never left, often planning how we can
return to the place we had such a great time....
Well it happened to me too, and I did something
about it instead of dreaming about it !!..
I fell in love with thailand 7 years ago on a stopover
on the way to Australia, from England
That first night in Bangkok had me hooked, the noise, the
smells, the food, the energy in the air, the amazing people, I loved it! Since then I spent every holiday I had in
Thailand, visiting most of the islands, and travelling north to Chaing Mai, and as far as Nong Kai on the border of
Laos. During every visit I felt like I was home, it always felt so right to be in this amazing
country.
Since that first trip I
have spent 4/6 months a year in Thailand most of the
time on Koh Samet.
Koh Samet is only 3 ½ hours from Bangkok and has some
of the best beaches, and crystal clear water I've ever seen in the world, which is a pretty big claim, as I have
been lucky enough to have visited the Carribean, Bali, Fiji, and the amazing Whitsunday islands in Queensland...
oh, and I live 5 minutes from Bondi beach in Sydney

After I
decided that I wanted to spend most of my time in Thailand I spent
a couple of months racking my brains trying to figure out
a way to live, or at least spend a
lot of time in Thailand.
As I wasn't rich enough to do it without working for a
living I needed an income, a job. The only sensible and feasable option
was to teach english I thought. After a lot of research I ruled it out as I really dont think I could live on a
teachers salary of 30,000 baht a month! As cheap as Thailand is, I knew I
couldn't do it! - so what should I do?
On the internet one day I came across a guy's website
claiming he lived on a beach in Thailand, doing online surveys for a living, and doing well by all accounts, he had
a great life. Sounded perfect to me so signed up to and gave it a try, this could be the answer to my prayers. Alas
it wasn't, a scam basically, as most of these things are, lets face it how many people do you see on the beach with
a laptop?- err.. none! but it did give me the idea of making a living online so I wouldn't have to “work” for a
living.
After a year of research, buying useless schemes, trying
different methods-ebay, google adsense, ect, I eventually discovered what I was looking for and its so easy-anyone
can do it, even your granny!
This method of making a living online, once set up, provided
me with the income I needed to say goodbye to the life I hated and say a
huge hello to the life I wanted in Thailand.
See the basics of how you can do this too in
the Funding your Thai vacation Page.
