Travel updates and pics

I am asked often how the new visa rules in Thailand are affecting me. I must admit I never used to do the visa run every 30 days as many used to do, instead entering on a 60 day tourist visa issued outside of Thailand, and renew it for a further 30 while I'm there. If I do spend more than 90 days consecutively a visa run is neccessary, usually to Cambodia or Laos.

I suggest anyone planning stays up to 6 months to use this method, using up all 3 -30 day entry permits then applying again for the 60 day tourist visa outside of Thailand. A good way around all of this (which I'm looking into) is to register a business in Thailand, and then apply for a non-immigrant B visa. This is fairly simple to set up, and would recommend using a reputable company to do the work for you. Sunbeltasia.com is the best to use,and at an all up cost of 50,000 baht for peace of mind its probably a good investment.

Have had a month in Australia, after january and feb in Thailand we had a huge electrical storm in early march in Sydney, and managed to get a couple of amazing pics of it over the harbour-hope you enjoy them...

Eventually got a couple of good photos of one of the fire dancers on Koh Samet

Anyone thinking of visiting the small pool bar in the alleyway between sukhumvit soi 5 and 7 (snookz bar) by all means have a game and a beer but buy one of the lovely ladies a drink and it will set you back 180Baht!!.. more expensive than most gogo's. There is conveniently no lady drink price on the menu either, so my advice-stay clear, and go round the corner to the upstairs area of the Beirgarten on soi 7, or New Wave bar just a bit further down the soi.

Well its almost time to hang up my thongs (flip flops to anyone outside Oz!) in Thailand for a couple of months and head back to Oz for a few weeks, before going to the U.K for a family wedding. Will be stopping off in hawaii and South America on the way over.

Old habits die hard!, met this lovely bangkokian last weekend-had a great night.

Made it back to Oz last week and had a couple of nights in Bangkok beforehand, tried out the Majestic Grande for the first time (just behind the Marriot) and highly reccommend the place. It is a bit on the costly side- 3,000 Baht upwards, but good value compared to similar hotels with the same facilities.

At the airport on the way out, I found a great free wifi spot in the departures area. After going through passport control, turn right and walk 3/4 minutes to the area where the cafe's , bars, and fast food places are. On the right, there is a small cafe before the burger and pizza place, there is a good free connection there and will help pass a bit of time before the dreaded flight home!

Stumbled on a website recently called  myairfaresecrets and as I travel so much I bought a copy to see what it was all about. I have to say there are some pretty good tips and secret info on how to get great deals on flights and hotel stays and at only $25.00 it will pay for itself many times over, I have already used some of the tips to get a great seat on my next flight to Japan. Give it a go!

Its no secret now that being an Ebay affiliate can make you a lot of money, however its always been a chore to set up a site linking to ebay and collecting commissions on sales and clicks. I looked at it a couple of years ago and decided it was too much for me, and since then dissmissed it completely, but a couple of weeks ago  I found this website and bought in straight away. Its so easy to use and once online creates commissions almost straight away, I wish it had been around 2 years ago. Visit  http://affiliates.ebay.com to see how it all works and how much you can earn.

Just had a couple of weeks in Tokyo to visit some friends and while there had a great night out in Roppongi, the main expat entertainment district in Tokyo. Met these seriously hot japanese girls in a nightclub, and have to say the they certainly give their Thai sisters a run for their money in the fun department!

Been a bit out of touch lately as I have actually been doing some serious work on my eBay affiliate websites which I have great hopes for, I will be posting some links to them soon so you can see what theBANS software can produce. Hope to have it organised in the next few weeks-bear with me while I test how well the software works.

14/9/2007

To continue with the new software I have been testing, I used a some domain names I registered a while ago to do the trials on, they are;

www.downloadhighway.com

www.jimmy-shoes.com

www.aussiedogsupplies.com

I have had them online for a few weeks now and are already showing profit!. if you're intrested in replicating this style of website, I have written a "how to" page here. Frankly if you really want to develop a steady income online you cannot go wrong with this.
